Fab Friday 26 Sweater Weather Challenge Card
Considering the significant temperature change we've experienced here in upstate NY, from 90 degrees early this week to 65 degrees today, the Sweater Weather color challenge over at the Fab Friday blog seemed appropriate.
I made this card using the plaid pattern from the Stampin' Up! Sweater Weather DSP. I like the way it turned out so well that I've decided to use it as one of my October class cards.
I designed my card after a sketch I found on Pinterest. The focal point uses the Birch Paper from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit that I sponged with Soft Sky ink. I think it's pretty and adds a nice texture to the card. I found some retired Soft Sky stitched ribbon hiding in my stash so I used that too. That's why I never get rid of anything - you never know when it's going to come back in style!
Stamps: Lot's of Thanks #129690 $16.95
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky, Very Vanilla, Sweater Weather DSP #132184 $10.95
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky
Accessories: Subtles Buttons, Soft Sky Ribbon (retired), Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit
Happy Stamping,
